How to forward a domain.

When you have your own domain name you can give your clients a way to access your website that's very easy to remember. It also looks very professional!  For example, www.3dmascaramorgan.com    Go to GoDaddy.com and search the name you want to use. Purchase the domain name (you can sometimes get deals for $1 so look for that before buying. I chose the 3 year option for savings and because I'm in this for the long run)  then and check out.

Then go to your Domain Manager. You'll see a dropdown box next to your domain name. Select "Forward Domain", Paste in the link to your current party and select TEMPORARY. You'll be changing the link every 10 days! Save it and you're done!

It will take a few minutes to update. Use your new domain when posting to your party - Instagram, Pinterest, FB biz page. All you have to do is update your party link once every 10 days in Go Daddy. Enjoy the time saver!!!

Update - Posted today by my teammate - Forwarding for Hostess Parties

Getting my own domain helped with my parties but I also figured out that you can use a subdomain and forward people to your hostess's page! So, while www.hilhawkmascara.com will take you to MY party, http://erin.hilhawkmascara.com will take you to my hostess's party!

I use GoDaddy - the spot where you enter forwarding info has two tabs, one for domain, one for subdomain. Click on "subdomain," choose a word (I use the hostess name!) and then have it forward to her party link. It takes a couple of minutes to come live, but voila! No crazy things to remember for each party post!
